SMS Messaging Program

This page describes the SMS / text-messaging program operated by Reply (operated by WickScout Finance LLC)(“Reply,” “we,” “us”). Reply is an AI phone receptionist that answers calls and books appointments for local home-services businesses (such as HVAC companies). The text messages described here are sent to the customers of those businesses — the people who call in to schedule service.
1. Program description
Messages are strictly transactional and informational — appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, and service updates tied to a booking the recipient requested. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
2. How you opt in (consent)
Opt-in is a two-step, text-first confirmation:
- You call a phone number answered by Reply on behalf of a participating business and provide your mobile number during the call.
- We then send you one text asking you to reply YES to confirm. You only begin receiving appointment confirmations, reminders, and service updates after you reply YES from your own phone — creating a verifiable opt-in record. If you don’t reply, we send no further messages.
We never purchase, rent, or source phone numbers from third-party lists. Opt-in is always initiated by the customer’s inbound call to the business and confirmed by the customer’s own reply.
Verbal consent script. Before collecting a mobile number, Reply’s AI receptionist reads the following script aloud and obtains the caller’s spoken agreement:
“Would you like to get text updates about your appointment with [Business Name]? You’ll receive appointment confirmations, reminders, and service updates by text at the number you provide. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Would you like to opt in?”
If the caller agrees, we send a single confirmation text, and only begin sending messages after they reply YES from their own phone:
“[Business Name]: reply YES to confirm appointment texts (confirmations, reminders, service updates). Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.”
3. Message frequency
Frequency varies and depends on your activity — typically one confirmation when you book, plus reminders or updates for any appointment you have scheduled. You will not receive recurring messages unrelated to your appointments.
4. Cost
Reply does not charge you for text messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
5. Opt-out and help
- Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time. After you text STOP you will receive one confirmation and then no further messages.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us at wickscoutio@gmail.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
6. Privacy and data sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of data sharing described in our Privacy Policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
7. Sample messages
- Opt-in request (first message): “Smith HVAC (via Reply): You asked us to text you about your appointment. Reply YES to get confirmations & reminders. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.”
- Welcome (after you reply YES): “You’re subscribed to Smith HVAC appointment texts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.”
- “Hi Matthew, this confirms your appointment with Smith HVAC on Saturday, May 30 at 2:00 PM. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply.”
- “Reminder: your Smith HVAC technician arrives tomorrow, Wed Jun 4, between 9 and 11 AM. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply.”
